Dorney Bridge

A series of three bespoke bridges constructed in hand crafted formwork to replicated the ship lapped effect of rowing boat. Thses bridges were extremely demanding to construct and were cast monolithically with curved deck and parapits poured as one to avoid an visablle joints. The 6m deep abutments were constructed in a coffer dam as they were beside an existing lake.

Works constisted of bridge abutments and associated groundworks, bridge deck and parapits all constructed on site.

First place winner of greenapple award.
