Anthropology Kings Road, London
This was a high end refurbishment of a retail outlet in the heart of London’s Kings Rd involving built up suspended slabs ,ramps , stairs and an intricately interwoven planter wall with a water fall. All concrete was coloured to a power float finish and then polished to expose the aggregate all carried out under an extremely tight program in the height of winter on a 7 day week. Some night shifts being required when power floating.
Although the works were all internal a total of 8 space heaters were needed to assist the curing of the concrete in the cold temperatures
Why this Project Was so Great
Nominated for several awards the park has become iconic and is famous for its exposed concrete finishes. Countless articles have been written and several books on the concrete on this project.
